Painting has allowed me to slow down, asking me to work in intimacy and with intention. The pace binds me, the intention grounds me. I am a ghost of geological time collecting mountains, waters, stories, ironies and learning a language to connect us in this intimacy.

I have migrated three times. This is a painful process that in turn gives a deeper understanding of self and context. I´ve undergone many lives and deaths, grounding me deeper in my interest in our relationship to Earth. Trees are so old they sense us the way we sense flies. Through my work I explore this feeling. Cultivating a relationship to ecosystems and learning to translate relatability and beauty. My work is the response to feelings of helplessness and fear that come with living today. Relatability and beauty are my tools to have a conversation with as many people as I can. Having been raised in Colombian stories, my sensibilities are rich and my tolerance for shock is high, so I feel inclined to take on the responsibility to listen closely. I strongly believe that ecological awareness compels individuals to find stability on our ever changing planet.
